The quaint, historic Smithville Village, located in beautiful Absecon, New Jersey is having their annual Show & Shine Car Show.

After being dropped last year by Snap-On, the folks at Smithville Village have turned this show over to the Garden State Crew-zers this year. This has always been a great little show with lots of shopping and fine dining right at the site! We love to see the live chickens wandering around the village and this year we have invited the local Prowler Club and a few local MOPAR Clubs to join us, so maybe we will spot a few rare kats and old Mopars at the show?

No need to sit in another hot, boring parking lot waiting to see if you won a trophy.

Take a summer break. Stroll along the brick lined paths. Enjoy the summer blooms. And take in some shopping in their wonderful shoppes. Unique and special gifts from all over the world are waiting for you to enjoy. Smithville is the perfect place the get away from it all. The shade is cool by lake Meone.

The Smithville Inn is open and serving lunch and dinner. Fred and Ethels has a wide range of fare and a casual dining atmosphere. And don't forget to check out the Lantern Light Tavern. But don't stop there, there's lots to see. With over 60 shoppes and restaurants you'll have plenty to see and do.

With it's covered bridges, train ride, winery, great shoppes and more all next to a beautiful lake there will be lots of opportunities for picture taking.

Call the Garden State Cruiser hotline at 848-702-1381 for status on the event. We'll keep the message updated closer to event as to if we are a "go" for Sunday or if inclement weather has caused us to cancel.

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM - Meet at Smithville Village
We MUST meet there at around 9:00am to secure our parking area. There is no guarantees after 9:30am. They will shut down the parking lot completely at 10:00am. Remember the car show is FREE to enter and attend but they would like you to register around 9:00am. The car show will be in the parking lot across from Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light Restaurant and Tavern. You can't miss it!

10:00 AM - Parking Lot Shuts Down
They will close down the parking lot at this time.

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM- Car Show
The car show will last four hours but Smithville and it's shoppes will be open until 6:00pm. Trophies to be awarded at around 1:00pm.

12:00 PM - Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light Restaurant and Tavern
Let's plan on meeting here for a bite to eat. Their menu has something for everyone at a decent price and it's conveniently located right next to the car show.

After lunch you may want to walk over and see who won the awards at the car show. Could be you! Maybe head back and continue shopping, exploring the great town of Smithville or whatever makes you happy.
