Okay- Took the PT in to Mobile Sound in Clifton for a whole bunch of small stuff to get put on-

1) 4 chrome door latches and holddown bolts
2) Chrome rear hatch strut covers
3) Billet aluminum driver's foot rest
4) Chrome antenna bezel
5) Chrome 'Hotrod' script on passenger's side grille
6) "Blue dots" installed on second set of OEM taillight lenses
7) Black chrome ABC fire extinguisher on passenger's side seat pedestal

Wednesday, July 14th, the PT goes back to the dealership to install the following-

1) B&M*70268 Super Cooler transmission cooler
2) B&M*80250 Drain Plug kit in transmission pan
3) Refill with 4 parts OEM ATF and 1 part Royal Purple*01320 Max ATF
4) Installation of silver, 3-dialed, OEM HVAC control unit

This is it until the Wantage Volunteer 'All Rides' show on 7/17. After that, I focus on Shore Thing 10. For that, I plan on having the following ready:

1) Massive Speed MAMM*2961.7 upper and lower motor mount kit installed
2) JBA*1937SJS exhaust header installed
3) Energy Suspension*5-18108R Hyper-Flex Master red polyurethane suspension bushing set installed
3) ZEX*82021 'wet' N20 system installed
4) Engine fully plumbed in color-coded, Russell anodized hose clamp ends and full stainless steel braided hose
5) Black, wrinkle-finished, powdercoated Modern Performance OEM valve cover w/K&N oil breather installed
6) StreetGlow*SGULST19PR purple LED strips installed in all four wheel wells

Okay- tomorrow morning (7/23), "Old's Cool" is going to Midas muffler and suspension here in West Caldwell for her suspension and motor mount upgrades! Going on are Energy Suspension's 5.18108 HyperFlex master bushing kit in red (black kit picture is for reference only) and Massive Speed System's 2961.7 in Purple Pearl metallic.

Energy Suspension bushings will tighten the PT right up and those motor mounts look great. Might even give you a little torque steer?

I'm anticipating a completely different ride when I get her back tomorrow around lunch! I can't wait to feel the new suspension!

Oh, MAN- what a difference! The new, Massive Speed steel motor mounts with polyurethane bushings really let me hear/feel "Old's Cool" 's engine! The new mounts give her that familiar, at-idle, "shake" that I remember from my '66 Ford Mustang's 351 Cleveland's solid motor mounts! And when I get on the gas pedal- all bets are off. The motor smoothes right out and off she goes! Wow! I'll never put my OEM mounts back on.

The polyurethane suspension bushings really firm up the ride, too! Gone is the "spongy" ride I was getting. In its place- a smooth, firm, tight, "European"-type ride. Cornering is off-the-hook! All four wheels stay WELDED to the pavement! When combined with the already-installed Mopar Performance front and rear swaybars, the suspension is now ROCK solid and SUPER tight! I love it! I wouldn't go back to OEM soft rubber bushings if you PAID me. I strongly recommend making this upgrade to anyone thinking of doing it. If you're still uncertain- the next time you see me, ask me and I'll take you for a ride in my PT. That should convince you!

I even put my "blue dot" rear tail light lenses in (with white, multiple, miniature-LED brake/stop bulbs) as well. My PT's interior now has white, multiple, miniature-LED bulbs in both map lights, the dome light and the rear cargo hatch light locations- as well in the rear license plate light location. They're way brighter than conventional, filament-type bulbs.

I'm doing this two-tone (tying in with my pinstripes) paint treatment on the 2 plastic, rear seat vents (Shown. Sorry about the odd camera angle!), as well as the latice patterned, lower front grilles. "Plum Crazy" is the upper color and "Sublime" is the lower color.

I have to hand it to you John, that is a great idea! I love the two tone and it is totally into your theme.

Thanks! I hope I can get the front grilles done by the Metuchen show!

Okay- finally the correct header (with the 02 sensor port) is on its way! UPS will deliver it on Thursday, August 5th. "Old's Cool" will be a tad louder- and have a low, crisp "rumble" to her for Metuchen on Sunday! I'm ordering a pair of 2006-2010, chrome-plated, lower, front grille inserts from Cruiser MotorSports, and having them painted (except for the wraparound ring and mounting tabs- which will remain chrome) with my already-in-place rear seat vents' "Plum Crazy"/"Sublime" 'faded' paint scheme. My dealer's Paint/Body Shop manager can't wait to get them! They should be done by next weekend. Cruiser MotorSports is also sending a chrome-plated hood latch assembly, as well as the correct, chrome-plated rear hatch latch for the 2010 PT. Another aftermarket add-on is to be a pair of Moroso*39020 chrome-plated hood pins, with lanyards. Already in-place is a pair of chrome-plated hood struts. Bye-bye, OEM yellow hood prop!

More stuff! I went to the dealership Parts counter on lunch today to pick up my parts order- a new OEM valve cover (that's heading to Cali to be finished in black wrinkle with silver lettering. Remember the old "Mickey Thompson" 'M/T' valve covers?)

And also I'm replacing the chrome, Chrysler 'wing' on "Old's Cool" 's hoodpeak with the 8 individual chrome press-on letters that spell out the word 'CHRYSLER' from a '10 Sebring's deck lid. That front wing just had to GO. Anybody want it? Make me an offer!
