Welcome to NEWJERSEYCRUISERS.COM. This is the new home for all my PT Cruiser pictures and information. All photos are taken at a fairly high resolution and then resized to 800 by 600 for viewing. I chose this URL because I am a life long New Jersian and have been bitten by the PT Cruiser bug.

Whoami?: My name is John Abella although most people know me by my forum handle, MYREDPT. I currently own a 2003 Inferno Red GT Cruiser Turbo and a 2007 Dodge Nitro SLT. I recently retired after teaching High School Technology classes for 35 years but cars, racing, boating and cruising are my passions.

For the past three years, I have been working as a key holder at the Toms River Boater's World. This is a unique and ideal position for me as it allows me to draw on my 30+ years of boating experience as well as my mechanical and wood working skills as I answer questions and help my customers. Unfortunately, the parent company of Boater's World has gone bankrupt and the stores were liquidated so I aml looking for employment elsewhere.

I am also the Director of the the Garden State Crew-Zers as well as a member of the following clubs and forums: Lone Wolf Outlaws, PT Enthusiasts, PTCrew, Pocono Mountain Cruisers and PTAlliance.

When I am not attending a PT Cruiser event, I am working on one of our cars. My son and I used to race in SCCA Solo II and NASA Autocross classes with a 1984 VW Rabbit that was totally built and prepared by us. My son has won first in class for three consecutive seasons in both clubs and was the overall points champion for NASA Northeast in 2002 & 2003 and we were the first and second place class winners at Waterfest VW-Audi Autocross Events held at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ in 2003, 2004 & 2005.
