The FUN continues! Shore Thing 8 returns to Sea Bright in September along the beautiful Jersey Shore. Come out and enjoy the Sun, Sand & Surf. The Firemen will be cooking up their food all day long, Terry will be hosting a sand castle competition and, of course, we will be having our Fire Engine led parade through the Sandy Hook National Park. Please check back often as details will be added to the page after the holidays.

Gary Reeves & Terry Napravnik - Assistant Directors

Friday Night the fun begins with dinner at Sally T's in Monmouth along the river followed by a fabulous Neon/Glow Show at the host hotel, the Red Roof Inn in Tinton Falls.

PT Cruiser enthusiasts and their guests from all over the U.S. and Canada will cruise down to the central New Jersey shoreline to Sea Bright Municipal Lot, on the Ocean, on Saturday, September 22nd. This day will include a public show-and-shine, door prizes, music, entertainment, award ceremony, raffles and much more. Come have fun with some fellow PTers!! Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sea Bright Fire Department.

This year our event coincides with the annual Sea Bright Founder's Day Celebration! This means that the front lot will be used for a flea market run by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sea Bright Fire Department and the small lot by the Library next door will have booths and activities so there will be plenty of things to keep everyone busy. This will be a welcome addition to our show and draw bigger crowds to view our cars on display. This will not interfere with our activities, we will still have the whole rear lot like always and the fire department bays for our Chinese Auction and Dinner.

And speaking of Dinner, looks who's coming to dinner at Shore Thing 8 this year. We expect to have directors from at least 7 states at the show this year and now Wendy from Australia is flying in just in time for the show! Rhode Island Marie (Tweety) and New Mexico Lanette have persuaded Wendy to fly in with her family for the weekend to attend Shore thing 8. This is Wendy's second trip to America for a PT Cruiser Show but the very first East Coast PT Cruiser show for Wendy so let's all show her we know how to have a good time!

Dinners and T Shirts numbers will be finalized and closed this weekend (8-25-08) so we can place orders. Remember, T Shirts are only ordered for paid registrations!

After the show we will line up and head out to our famous scenic cruise up through Sandy Hook led by a Sea Bright Fire Department Engine. Attendees who have purchased dinner tickets will be treated to a sumptuous barbeque dinner catered by Famous Dave's Barbeque at the firehouse following the parade.

On Sunday we'll meet in the morning for breakfast and then head out for a special Light House Poker Run. This is an un-timed, fun event bringing you by the Sandy Hook and Atlantic Highlands Lighthouses and a scenic tour of the shore and scenic communities. We will conclude the Poker Run back in Sea Bright where we will present awards for best hands, say goodbye to old and new friends and head home.
